New York Election Data Guide

New York publishes statewide election data through the State Board of Elections (SBOE): certified results back to 1994 through a searchable database with CSV export, semiannual voter enrollment counts at five geographies, campaign finance filings, and the statewide voter file by request. The state certifies and publishes results at the county level only; election-district (ED) results, the New York equivalent of precinct results, live with the county boards of elections—one per county outside of New York City, and a single city board covering the five boroughs. For those who are interested in taking a deeper dive into the state's available data, we have prepared a quick guide to the available data and where to find them.

New York publishes statewide election data through the State Board of Elections (SBOE). In this document, we identify the locations of available election data and their dedicated webpages at the state level, as well as for three of the boards serving the state's largest populations: the Board of Elections in the City of New York, Suffolk County, and Nassau County.
